Why Not Make Something Up?
An Organic Approach to Music Composition
is an experiential workshop for high school and college-aged youth that teaches individuals how to develop and honor their unique creative abilities. The workshop focuses on applying four fundamental compositional elements -- melody, rhythm, ostinato (groove), improvisation – and results in a collaborative musical composition. Participants receive hands-on instruction that equips them to take the work wherever they want to direct it. The nurturing environment that Daniel creates encourages everyone to let loose, try something new, and most importantly, have fun!

At the completion of a residency, organizations can arrange to have the composition performed in an informal assembly with parents and staff or as part of a special evening's length concert including other works by Mr. Arite. A recording of the composition or a concert performance are options that will require separate arrangements.
